The official inauguration of the Divine Mercy Province of Heralds of Good News was held on 29th October 2017 at HASCOM, Poonamalee, Chennai. The inauguration ceremony was officiated by His Grace Most Rev. Dr. A. M. Chinnappa, D. D Archbishop Emeritus of Madras and Mylapore, His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Neethinathan, D. D. Bishop of Chengalpattu and His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Lawrence Pius, D. D. Bishop of Dharmapuri in the presence of Superior General, General Councilors, Provincials of other Provinces. The first provincial assembly was held from 13th to 16th of September 2017 and the assembly elected the following members as its leaders. The Divine Mercy Province has 123 priests and 53 candidates in various formation stages.
